There are times when you are done with Cards refund processing, you would like to know your Cards refund status.
To be able to check your Cards refund status, you can identify it through your own Xendit Dashboard by following these simple steps:
- First, Log in to your Xendit Dashboard > Cards Tab:
- Go to Refund Tab (only if you know your Refund ID)
- Go to Charges Tab (input External ID or Card details to get Refund ID) > Refund Tab
- Second, upon checking the refund transaction using Refund ID in Refund Tab, the refund transaction will look like screenshot attached below:
- Third, once you found the transaction, click the transaction to find the details of the refund status.
- Fourth, if the refund status is Successfully Requested, meaning that the refund is already requested and the rest of the process will be handled by the end-customer issuing cards (Cardholder Bank). In this case, Xendit does not have visibility to monitor the process.
- Fifth, after knowing that the refund is successfully requested from our side, you can give your end-customer the refund receipt so that they can confirm it to their issuing bank
Please be noted that Card Refund usually takes process for approximately 7-14 formal days or it could be dependent on Issuing Banks.
Fees & VAT Rules for Cards Refund:
- When you are requesting a refund to your end-customer, the transaction fees & VAT will be automatically refunded.
- In Partial Refund process, the transaction fees & VAT will be automatically adjusted.
- However, for refund where fees & VAT are not included:
- MDR Fee will only be refunded for full refund process
- VAT will not be refunded if you as a merchant requested the refund in a different month from the transaction date
