Monthly Minimum Fees
What is the Monthly Minimum Fee?
From 1 October 2026, a Monthly Minimum Fee of USD 50 (or local currency equivalent) will apply to accounts identified as a Dormant Account, which has no transactions within 180 calendar days after the go-live date or last transaction date, or if your total invoice for the month, excluding chargeback fees, is less than USD 50 (or local currency equivalent). This fee supports the maintenance of necessary infrastructure and security protocols for all accounts on our platform. We strongly recommend closing any Dormant Accounts to avoid this fee.

Chargeback Fees
What is a chargeback fee?
A chargeback fee is a charge applied when a customer disputes a card transaction through their bank. It covers the administrative and operational cost of managing the dispute and is separate from the disputed transaction amount itself. Learn more about chargebacks.
From 1 October 2026, all disputes on Card transactions will be subjected to a Chargeback Dispute Fee of USD 25, regardless of the dispute outcome. Learn more about how Xendit handles disputes.
For the avoidance of doubt, Xendit’s assistance in facilitating or challenging a dispute does not shift the ultimate liability to Xendit; the Merchant remains responsible for the liability of all Chargebacks, Reversals, and/or Refunds regardless of any administrative support provided by Xendit.
Who pays a chargeback fee?
In most cases, the merchant is responsible for chargeback-related fees because the dispute is linked to a transaction processed on their account.
Is a chargeback fee the same as a refund?
No. A refund is initiated by the merchant directly. A chargeback is initiated by the customer through their issuing bank, which then pulls the funds from the merchant's account during the review process. Chargebacks also come with fees that refunds do not. Learn more about the difference between a chargeback and refund.
Does the chargeback fee apply even if I win the dispute?
Yes. The chargeback fee applies when the dispute is opened - not based on the outcome. It covers the cost of processing the case, regardless of how it is resolved.
Can businesses challenge a chargeback?
Yes. Merchants can submit evidence to contest a chargeback if they believe the dispute is invalid. Visit our documentation for more details on the evidence submission process.
