We are currently notifiying all of our merchant who have been inactive for more than 12 months that their account is dormant and there is still pending a balance to withdraw. Otherwise it will be transferred to BHP.

What is an abandoned Dormant Account?

An abandoned dormant account is defined as a merchant account that has been inactive/dormant for 12 consecutive months. If the account remains inactive beyond this period, it may result in specific actions regarding the account balance.

What is BHP?

Balai Harta Peninggalan (BHP) is an organization under Kemenkumham responsible for managing and protecting inherited assets. In the context of merchant accounts, if there is a balance remaining in a merchant account that is no longer active and has not been claimed by the merchant within the specified timeframe, Xendit will hand it over to BHP.

Next steps to do

Merchants are advised to take action regarding their accounts before the deadline. You can contact us via help@xendit.co before 19 March 2025. After this date, any unclaimed funds will need to be claimed directly from BHP.
