Updating the currency to USD in Wix depends on the merchant's country of operation (Indonesia or Philippines), as Xendit's multi-currency capabilities and local regulations vary by region.

For Philippines (PH) Merchants

Philippines-based merchants can accept USD payments on Wix, but it requires a multi-step activation process.

Activate USD MID: The merchant must first request USD acceptance through their Xendit Dashboard. This is done during the card payment method activation by selecting "YES" for USD activation. Processing typically takes 7-10 business days .
Enable USD on Payment Link (Manual Step): Even after the account is enabled for USD, the currency must be manually activated for the merchant's payment link (which powers the Wix integration). This is a distinct configuration that currently requires manual intervention by the Xendit support team [4].
- Internal Action: Support/Internal teams can use the Checkout Ops Retool to add USD under "Allowed Multicurrency" for the merchant's Business ID (BID).
Update Wix Store Currency: Once Xendit has confirmed USD activation, the merchant can update their store currency within the Wix Dashboard (typically under Settings > General Info > Currency) .

For Indonesia (ID) Merchants

Indonesia-based merchants cannot charge in USD on Wix due to local regulations.

Regulation: Bank Indonesia requires all domestic transactions to be processed in IDR. Consequently, Xendit only supports IDR for Indonesian merchants integrated with Wix .
Unsupported Currency Error: If an ID merchant sets their Wix store currency to USD, customers will encounter an "Unsupported Currency" error at checkout.
Foreign Cards: Merchants can still accept international credit cards, but the transaction will be charged and settled in IDR. The customer's bank will handle the conversion to their local currency on their statement.
