When sending disbursements, having an automatic email receipt helps keep your recipients informed and ensures transparency in every transaction. Our system provides built-in email receipt functionality that you can activate through both the Dashboard and API, depending on your workflow.
Sending Automatic Email Receipts
We provide an automatic email receipt that you can forward to your recipients as proof or notification of transfer. To enable this, simply include the recipient’s email information during the disbursement request:
Via Excel Upload
If you're using the Excel file template for batch disbursement, you can enter the email details directly into the following columns:
Email
Email CC
Email BCC
These fields determine who will receive the disbursement receipt and who will be copied on the notification.
Via API
For API integrations, you can include these parameters in your batch disbursement payload:
email_toemail_ccemail_bcc
These can be populated with one or multiple emails, depending on your notification requirements.
Customizing the Email Sender
At the moment, the email sender cannot be customized through Dashboard > Settings > Disbursement Notifications. The email sender remains your business email to maintain consistency and reliability for all your disbursement emails.
Editing the Email Footer Information
While the sender cannot be customized, you can personalize the content displayed in the email footer. This can be updated in:
Disbursement Email Template
Batch Disbursement Email Template
Here, you can add any useful information such as business contact details, disclaimers, or additional notes for your recipients.
Testing Your Email Receipts
Before sending disbursements to your recipients, we recommend testing how the email receipt appears. Simply include your own email address in the request—either via Excel or API—and check how the final email renders in your inbox.
This ensures:
The footer information displays correctly
The email reaches the intended recipients
Formatting appears as expected
