What is the difference between Pending and Abandoned Checkout Configuration? – Xendit Help Center

You can choose whether you want to label unpaid order as Pending or Abandoned on your Shopify Dashboard. To choose in between both, you can follow below steps:

Go to the Xendit Dashboard > Integrations tab > My Integrations tab > Shopify > Settings
Choose between Abandoned Checkouts and Pending Checkouts on the dropdown list
Click Save

Here are the differences between the two configurations:

	Abandoned Checkout	Pending Checkout
Unpaid order location	Abandoned checkout tab	Orders tab with status “Pending”
Paid order location	Move to Orders tab with status “Paid”	Stay in Orders tab with status “Paid”
Stock removal	Removed only after order is paid. Higher chance of overselling.	Removed after order is created, before order is paid. Lower chance of overselling. If order is not paid/expired, need to cancel order manually to return the stock
Shopify customer email notification	Sent to customer after order is paid	Sent to customer after order is placed, before order is paid
